PAU Students Continue to Touch Little Hearts

In cooperation with Pamukkale University and Denizli Provincial Directorate of National Education, a very meaningful project was carried out by the students of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Teaching at the Faculty of Sports Sciences within the scope of Community Service Practices course.

Within the scope of the Community Service Practices Course, the students of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Teaching realized the project of donating books, stationery, clothes, shoes, bags and sports equipment to İncilipınar Pamukkale Primary School in Denizli-Pamukkale District. The donations collected from different institutions, organizations, NGOs and individuals contacted by the students taking the course under the coordination of course and project coordinator Dr. Zekeriya Çelik during the fall semester, were delivered to them with the participation of Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences Prof. Dr. Yunus Arslan, course instructor Dr. Zekeriya Çelik and the students who took the course with the participation of Pamukkale Primary School Principal Mr. Ebubekir Daldan, Assistant Principal Ms. Seda Nur Karadeniz and school administrators.

Dr. Zekeriya Çelik stated that Pamukkale University aims to raise prospective teachers as individuals with increased social sensitivity and solution-oriented approaches to problems and said, "We have carried out many different projects within the scope of this course for more than 10 years. In the past years, we made donations to Hüsamettin Kulaklı Kindergarten and Primary School, Pamukkale Uzunpınar Village Primary School, Çivril Işıklı Village Primary School and Secondary School, Karahasanlı Primary School and Secondary School with a similar project. We also brought a Z-Library to Pamukkale Cankurtaran Village Secondary School. Finally, I would like to express my gratitude to our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan and Provincial Directorate of National Education, Dean of our Faculty Prof. Dr. Yunus Arslan, my students and everyone who contributed."
