PAU Geography Department Students Develop Geographical Skills in Nature

Pamukkale University (PAU) Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (ITBF) Geography Department students improved their map reading skills and spatial analysis abilities with an event held at Kınıklı central campus.
Organized by PAU ITBF Department of Geography faculty members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cennet Şanlı, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Selahattin Akşit, Dr. Rauf Belge, Dr. M. Oruç Baykara, Research. Assist. Dr. Cansu Duman and PhD student Hasan Akpınar, the event led by Denizli Orienteering Provincial Representative İbrahim Gümüş and Coach Gökhan Koç gave students the chance to apply their geographical knowledge in the field as well as being intertwined with natural beauties.
The orienteering activity gave students practical experience in map reading, spatial analysis and navigation. It also allowed them to improve their ability to cooperate and problem-solve in a team.
Pamukkale University Geography Department students had the opportunity to transform their theoretical knowledge into practical applications with such activities, while at the same time, they had the opportunity to interact with the natural environment and gain a deeper understanding of geographical issues.
