PAU Footwear Design and Production Program Participates in World Footwear Congress and AYSAF 2023

PAU Acıpayam Vocational School Footwear Design and Production Program Lecturer Aslıhan TUGAN attended the World Footwear Congress, which takes place every 4 years, as an invitee of the Turkish Footwear Industry Research Development and Education Foundation (TASEV). This year, with the theme of "Shaping the Future", the future of the footwear industry was discussed at the congress held in Istanbul on November 7-9, 2023, and the innovative strategies, trends, technological developments and sustainability issues of the sector were discussed. At the congress, meetings were held with local and foreign company officials, TASEV officials and experts in this field, which will contribute to the development of PAU Acıpayam Vocational School Footwear Design and Production Program. Skechers (Pro Lab) shoe production factory was visited within the scope of the congress.

PAU Footwear Design and Production Program Instructors Participated in AYSAF 2023

Pamukkale University (PAU) Acıpayam Vocational School (MYO) Footwear Design and Production Program lecturers held meetings with TASEV and the leading companies of the sector to provide support to the Footwear Design and Production Program workshop at AYSAF 2023.

PAU Acıpayam Vocational School Textile, Clothing, Footwear and Leather Department, Footwear Design and Production Program. Assist. Fatma Filiz Yıldırım and Lect. Assist. Dr. Özlem Yılmaz Karaboyacı had the opportunity to meet with the leading companies of the sector at AYSAF 2023, the world's most important footwear supply industry fair, by participating in AYSAF Footwear Supply Industry Fair held at Istanbul Fair Center between 15-18 November 2023. PAU Acıpayam Vocational School lecturers also held a meeting with Yılmaz Polat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Turkish Footwear Industry Research Development and Education Foundation (TASEV), at the fair which responds to many needs of the sector such as shoe sole systems, leather, artificial leather, textile, eva, metal and plastic products, chemicals, adhesives, machinery, equipment and production technologies. During this meeting, possible cooperation between PAU and TASEV was discussed. At the fair, cooperation was also established with businesses on the supply of soles and molds, machinery and equipment to support the PAU Acıpayam Vocational School Shoe Design and Production Program workshop.
