PAU Faculty of Medicine Football League Information

Founded in 2013 by Prof. Dr. Necmettin Yıldız with the idea of PAU Faculty of Medicine doctors and doctor candidates having fun together in the intense work and school stress, PAU Faculty of Medicine Football League continued on its way with the slogan "We have fun with seriousness" for 7 years, but had to take a break for 2 years during the Covid-19 pandemic process.
The 2022-2023 season started again with 11 teams and 127 players. The operation of the league is carried out by an Organizing Committee (Dr. Serhat Ötken, Emre Çağlıtütüncügil, Doğukan Çelik, Yusuf Ziya Gohychaski, Hakan Çayır, Yiğit Ekiz) established within the Turkish Medical Students Association as of this season and advised by Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Necmettin Yıldız.
PAU Faculty of Medicine Football League, which started its 8th season this year, starts in October and ends in May every year. Each year, 10-12 teams compete, the league fixture consisting of two halves is announced months in advance, the days and times of all matches are determined days in advance, more than a hundred matches are played, all matches are managed by a referee appointed by the Denizli Provincial Referee Board, and punitive actions based on the referee report are given by a disciplinary board consisting of three people. The league is a serious organization that is easy to join but requires penal action to leave the league, 80% of which is made up of students of the Faculty of Medicine, the rest of which is made up of residents and faculty members of the Faculty of Medicine, the financial cycle is provided by its participants, and it is a serious organization that does not pursue any financial purpose.
The vision of PAU Faculty of Medicine Football League is "to have fun with seriousness" and our mission is "to inspire people to support social projects that will enrich their lives and create a new future".
