PAU Faculty of Education Melek Sozkesen Conference Hall Opened with a Ceremony
The opening ceremony of the 450-seat Melek Sozkesen Conference Hall, which was completed at Pamukkale University Faculty of Education, was held by Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan and Sozkesen Family.
The first speech of the ceremony was delivered by Prof. Dr. İzzet Kara, Dean of the Faculty of Education. Prof. Dr. Kara stated the following: "The hall we are in today, which we have opened, is the work of the Sözkesen family, a family that has adopted the understanding of foundation. I would also like to thank our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan, who supported us both during the protocol phase for the conference hall and in the process of the hall becoming operational. Managing material gains and assets is a professional job, but the most difficult thing is to share them. Moreover, if this sharing is spent for the sake of science, it is crowned with the concept of sustainability. The name of Melek Sözkesen, the elder of the Sözkesen Family who is no longer with us, will be remembered in countless scientific activities in this hall. We pray for the repose of Melek Sözkesen's soul. We also express our gratitude to her loyal family members."
Following the speeches, the ceremony continued with the presentation of gifts and a music concert presented by the faculty members of the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts. After the music concert, a presentation titled 'Everything with Grace' by Dr. Yasemin Hatipoğlu was held. After the presentation, Faculty of Education faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hatice Nilüfer Süzen's Painting Workshop Students Group Exhibition was opened and the exhibition was visited.
