Rector Kutluhan: “This award may become the Nobel Prize of PAU in the future.”

Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan stated the following in his speech at the program: “Our late Professor Yaman was a very successful scientist, as his name suggests. His spirit is still here at our university. It is really great that his family organized such an award ceremony. Since I came here, I have been saying that social sciences are social sciences. Yes, seeing such a success of social sciences made me very happy as the Rector. I would like to thank Mr. Koçak family for their share in this happiness. If there is an award, there is a competition. If there is competition, there is science. If there is science, there is life. If there is life, there is guidance. We say that the most important feature of our university is to be a guide for life. How will we achieve this? We will create many reasons. One of these reasons has been created very well, and the seventh one is being held. May God rest his soul. I wish he was among us; we would have witnessed his TÜBİTAK awards, his international awards, we would have witnessed if he had received the TÜBA award, but I think this is something more valuable than that. In the future, it may become the Nobel of Pamukkale University. As a university, Aliyar Hocam, we definitely need to support this. It needs to become widespread. As you said before, we need to include all universities in this competition by giving this award a national dimension, especially ADIM Universities. This is a fire of science that has been lit and cannot be extinguished. We will follow this. I would like to congratulate all the professors who contributed, the professors who organized the competition, the theses competing here, the research assistants and graduate students who did those theses. Thank you very much. I am experiencing one of my happy days today. Thank you, thank you.”
