Assoc. Dr. Tanrıöğen said: “Sustainable development goals are a universal call to action. In the past years, seventeen items for sustainable development goals (SDG - Sustainable Development Goals) covering the years 2015-2030 were announced. Among the goals, there are three items (item 5-Gender equality, item 8 – Decent work and item 10 – Reducing inequalities) among the most important requirements for the development of the world states and the private sector, and these items demand the development of corporate policies sensitive to gender equality. After these articles were announced, all international acquis such as the European Union, World Bank and Horizon 2022 responded to the UN's call to action and brought a prerequisite for institutions that want to work with them to have a gender equality attitude document. We have prepared the PAU Gender Equality Attitude document and policy in order to make our University meet this prerequisite, and it entered into force in January after being approved by the Senate.”
