A talk on 'Nowruz in Turkish Culture' Organized at ITBF

The guests of the 'Nowruz in Turkish Culture' event held at PAU ITBF Prof. Dr. İsmail Çetişli Conference Hall were Prof. Dr. Fikret Türkmen, retired from Ege University, and Prof. Dr. Metin Ekici from Ege University.
In his opening speech at the event, Prof. Dr. Turgut Tok, Head of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature at PAU Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, spoke about the events titled "Living Sycamores of the Republic" organized by the Department of Turkish Language and Literature. Prof. Dr. Fikret Türkmen then made a broad evaluation on the concepts of Nowruz and New Year. Prof. Dr. Metin Ekici, on the other hand, explained the place of Nevruz in Turkish cultural life and the colors that stand out in these celebrations, based on the celebrations of holidays and important days in Turks.
After the event, gifts were presented to the guests by the Department of Turkish Language and Literature.
