A Book of Selected Works from Azerbaijan Children's Literature Presented at PAU
Hosted by Pamukkale University, Department of Contemporary Turkish Dialects and Literatures, in order to evaluate the scientific and literary studies in the field of children's literature within the framework of Azerbaijan-Turkey literary relations, 'Azerbaijan Turkey Literary Relations: Children's Literature Studies (Selected Works from Azerbaijani Children's Literature (Poetry, Story, Theater) Book Promotion Meeting” was held on the online platform.
To evaluate the scientific and literary works in the field of children's literature within the framework of Azerbaijan-Turkey literary relations, to promote the book "Selected Works from Azerbaijan Children's Literature (Poetry, Stories, Theater)" published in 2022 in honor of the 270th anniversary of Shusha, the cultural capital of Azerbaijan and the Turkic World, the beating heart of Karabakh and the alpine-hearted children of Oghuz. Year of Shusha, the cultural capital of Azerbaijan and the Turkic World, the beating heart of Karabakh in 2022 and the alpine-hearted children of Oghuz, and to exchange ideas for future studies in the field of children's literature within the scope of developing Azerbaijan-Turkey literary relations, Pamukkale University Department of Contemporary Turkish Dialects and Literatures hosted the "Azerbaijan-Turkey Literary Relations: Children's Literature Studies (Selected Works from Azerbaijan Children's Literature (Poetry, Stories, Theater)) Book Presentation Meeting" which was held online. The meeting, moderated by Pamukkale University Department of Contemporary Turkish Dialects and Literatures Department of Historical and Contemporary Turkish Dialects and Literatures PhD Program Student and Turkish Teacher Yaşar Sözen, was attended by Pamukkale University Department of Contemporary Turkish Dialects and Literatures, Baku Slavyan University Turkish Studies Teaching Culture Center, Association of Writers of Children and Youth Literature as stakeholders.
The meeting started with the opening speech of Baku Slavyan University Turkish Studies Teaching Culture Center Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ziyafet Kasımova and continued with the speeches of Pamukkale University and Baku Slavyan University Vice Rectors and Pamukkale University Department of Contemporary Turkish Dialects and Literatures Department Head Prof. Dr. Nergis Biray. In her speech, Prof. Biray touched upon the conceptual framework and mission of children's literature and gave information about the work of the Department of Contemporary Turkic Dialects and Literatures in the field of children's literature of the whole Turkic World, especially Azerbaijani children's literature. In addition, faculty members of the Department of Contemporary Turkish Dialects and Literatures of Pamukkale University, many academics of Baku Slavyan University, the Chairman of the Board of Directors and many members of the Association of Writers of Children's and Youth Literature, as well as academics from various universities of Turkey working in the field of children's literature of the Turkic World contributed to the meeting with their speeches and information about their work.
