'100th Anniversary of Our Republic Concert and 100th Year Professors' Event Organized at PAU

In the first part of the program held at Pamukkale University Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Yılmaz Congress and Culture Center, the 100th Anniversary of our Republic Concert was performed, while in the second part of the program, professorship certificates were presented to PAU academicians who were promoted to professorship in the 100th anniversary of the Republic.

Pamukkale University Faculty of Music and Performing Arts and Faculty of Education Music Education Department Orchestra and Choir performed the concert, which was conducted by the Dean of the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts Prof. Dr. Efe Akbulut. Prof. Dr. Gül Fahriye Evren, Konzertmeister Prof. Dr. Özgül Gök Akçakoyunluoğlu, first violin; Prof. Dr. Özgül Gök Akçakoyunluoğlu, Lecturer Itri Sözgötürmez, Burak Özev, Efekan Dindar, Nehir Kafadar on the violin; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özlem Akın Şişman, Orhan Dikici, Ayten İlhan, Gülsüm Özyavuz, Aleyna Ayvaz, İsmail Kırmızı on the second violin; Prof. Dr. Ufuk Yağcı, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ufuk Yağcı, Prof. Dr. Ece Akyol, Sevil Sarıçiftçi, Zeliha İlhan on viola, and Dr. Derya Kıraç Sabzehzar, Dr. Çağatay Şişman, Gündekar Dalyanoğlu, Sena Poyraz on contrabass, İdil Erörter on flute, Assoc. Prof. Selçuk Akyol on oboe, Res. Assist. Atakan Ertem, and Prof. Dr. Özgün Gülhan on piano.

The "Independence March" prepared by Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan by saying "I wrote it for my country on the road to full independence" was performed for the first time at the 100th Anniversary of our Republic concert organized by Pamukkale University (PAU) within the scope of the 100th Anniversary of the Republic Activities.

Rector Kutluhan: "We are an independent country and we will remain independent forever."

At the 100th Anniversary of our Republic Concert, the "Independence Anthem" written by Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan and composed by Prof. Dr. Özgün Gülhan, Faculty Member of the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts, was performed as a chorus for the first time. The anthem, which was highly appreciated by the audience, was applauded for a long time. Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan, who was invited to the stage by Prof. Dr. Efe Karabulut, Dean of the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts at the end of the anthem, said: "I would like to thank the Dean of the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts for giving us this beauty with his orchestra. We are an independent country and we will remain independent forever. My esteemed Prof. Dr. Özgün Gülhan composed this anthem in a very short time. I thank you very much for your appreciation. I hope that the National Anthem will not be written again, and that our independence anthem will continue." 

At the end of the concert, Ayten Alpman's 'Memleketim' was performed with all the guests. The concert program ended with the presentation of flowers to the conductor and members of the orchestra by Denizli Governor Ömer Faruk Coşkun.

In the second part of the program, professorship certificates were presented to thirty-nine academicians from PAU who were promoted to professorship in the 100th anniversary of our Republic. From the Faculty of Medicine; Mevlüt Çeri, Kadri Karaer, Selda Ayça Altıncık, Gökay Nar, Ahmet Akçay, Bayram Özhan, Gökhan Ozan Çetin, from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences; Levent Kurgun, Hanım Hande Duymuş Florioti, Dilek Çetindaş, Durmuş Akalın, Şeyda Sivrioğlu, from the Faculty of Science; Ali Filiz, Aslıhan Arslan Kartal, Canan Celep Yücel, Ayşen Höl, Faculty of Education; Fatma Taşkın Ekici, Abdurrahman Şahin, Feryal Beykal Orhun, Faculty of Technology; Sevilay Çetin, Metin Sayer, Faculty of Engineering; Engin Çetin, Arzu Yakar, Fatih Dikbaş, Hakan Karaca, Nurhan Onar Çamlıbel, Seher Arslan, Selim Köroğlu, Mutlu Yaşar, Olcay Polat from the Faculty of Engineering, Cemil Çiftçi, İbrahim Aksel, Zübeyir Bağcı, Pınar Savaş Yavuzçehre from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Eylin Aktaş from the Faculty of Communication, Murat Burak Altınışık from the Faculty of Architecture and Design, Şeyma Ay Arçın, Kamil Yağcı from the Faculty of Tourism, Ayşegül Koyuncu Okca from Denizli Vocational School of Technical Sciences. In the 100th anniversary of our Republic,  these were among the academicians promoted to professorship in Pamukkale University.

Professorship certificates were presented to the academicians promoted to professorship by Denizli Governor Ömer Faruk Coşkun, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Ali Değirmenci, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan and other provincial protocol members. The program ended with a collective photo shoot.
