Rector Prof. Dr. Güngör Attended the Panel Organized by the Denizli Branch of TMMOB
Pamukkale University (PAÜ) Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör attended the panel titled "Industrial Construction Technology: Concrete Prefabrication," organized by the Denizli Branch of the Chamber of Civil Engineers (TMMOB).

At an event organized by the Denizli Branch of the Chamber of Civil Engineers (TMMOB) at the Denizli Organized Industrial Zone (OSB), Prof. Dr. Şevket Murat Şenel, a faculty member of the Civil Engineering Department at Pamukkale University Faculty of Engineering, and Prof. Dr. Celalettin Kozanoğlu, a faculty member at Izmir University of Economics, participated as invited speakers.
Rector Prof. Dr. Güngör: “Especially after the disaster of the century, which deeply wounded us and affected 11 provinces, prefabricated structures have once again become a significant topic of discussion.”
Delivering the opening speech of the event, Pamukkale University Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör stated:
"I would like to extend my sincere thanks to our esteemed President of the Chamber of Commerce, our Organized Industrial Zone Director, our Chamber Presidents, our colleagues, engineers, and everyone who contributed to the organization of this event. Firstly, I am well aware of the valuable efforts of Prof. Şevket Şenel in this field and I would like to thank him personally. Our Organized Industrial Zone predominantly consists of prefabricated structures. The reasons for preferring prefabricated structures include their rapid production and enhanced safety. Additionally, having established standards makes them a priority in construction decisions. Denizli is an industrial city, and therefore, there is a constant need for rapid manufacturing. As a city of industry, our race against time necessitates the use of prefabricated buildings as a primary solution.
As a university, when we ask ourselves what role we play in this process, I believe many individuals here are graduates of Pamukkale University’s Civil Engineering Department. Prof. Şevket Şenel has been a leading figure in this regard. Beyond his academic contributions in the field of civil engineering, he has made significant contributions to our city. Over the past 20 years, important scientific studies have been conducted regarding the safety and use of prefabricated structures. Especially after the disaster of the century, which deeply wounded us and affected 11 of our provinces, prefabricated structures have once again become a significant topic of discussion. I closely follow and am well aware of the ongoing improvement and project initiatives. As both a civil engineer and the rector of Pamukkale University, we are ready to contribute to this process in every possible way. Thank you.”
