After the earthquakes, the epicenter of which was Kahramanmaras and affected 11 provinces, PAU has provided intensive support to the aid mobilization initiated across our country from the first day and sent a group of Pamukkale University (PAU) physicians to the region where the earthquake occurred on the first day, and the works carried out for the citizens and PAU students affected by the earthquake continue unabated. Afterwards; humanitarian aid parcels, treatment of earthquake-affected citizens who applied to PAU Hospitals, reaching out to earthquake-affected students and meeting their needs, PAU staff working in the region to support search and rescue and food distribution, PAU engineers participating in damage assessment studies were carried out. In addition to these activities, PAU Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan visited universities in the provinces affected by the earthquake with the humanitarian aid materials he brought with him. Rector Prof. Dr. Kutluhan came together with the rectors of these universities, conveyed their get well wishes and said that PAU stands by them.

Rector Kutluhan: "We are always with our universities in the earthquake region"
Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan, who made evaluations about the visits he made, stated that as PAU, they are ready to provide all kinds of support for the recovery of the universities in the region affected by the earthquake as soon as possible, "As a country, we have experienced a great earthquake disaster. I once again wish God's mercy to the citizens who lost their lives in the earthquake and a speedy recovery to the injured. I would like to convey my condolences to those who lost their relatives. There were some of our students who lost their lives in the region where the earthquake occurred. We carried out self-sacrificing efforts to determine the health status of our students affected by the earthquakes and to convey their needs to the authorities. As PAU, we continue to participate in the works carried out from the first day with all our strength. In the region, our faculty members, engineers and technical personnel, who are experts in their fields, are still working on damage assessments of the structures affected by the earthquake. We have suffered a great pain, but I believe that we will overcome these days by working hand in hand, as in every challenging situation. I visited the universities in the region to express that we are with them. I would like to express once again that we, as PAU, are ready to provide all kinds of support we can for the recovery of our universities as well as our country as soon as possible."
Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan also met with Denizli Governor Ali Fuat Atik, who was appointed as the coordinating Governor of Hatay, in Hatay.
