Within the scope of the program, Rector Güngör, who received the accreditation certificate prepared on behalf of the Pamukkale University Search and Rescue Team, invited the team to his office and presented the certificate to PAU Search and Rescue Team Leader Serdar Çiftçi. Rector Güngör congratulated all team members for their dedicated efforts in disaster preparedness, training, and field activities. PAU Search and Rescue Team Leader Serdar Çiftçi, in turn, expressed his gratitude to Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör for his support.

During the meeting, team members who successfully completed the “Disaster Awareness Trainer Training” program organized in cooperation with AFAD between March 3–5 were also congratulated. On behalf of 23 participants who successfully completed the program, the certificate was symbolically presented by Rector Güngör to Dilek Özcan, who works at the PAU General Secretariat and is also a member of the PAU Search and Rescue Team.

Rector Güngör emphasized that being prepared for disasters and increasing disaster awareness in society is of great importance, stating that he supports the expansion of disaster awareness training within the university and thanked all participants who took part in the program and successfully completed the training.
