Rector Güngör Attended the TEKNOFEST Southeastern Program Held with the Attendance of President Erdoğan
Within the scope of TEKNOFEST Southeastern held in Şanlıurfa, Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör attended the program held with the attendance of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
At the program, the excitement of the young people who ranked in the TEKNOFEST competitions was shared, while Rector Güngör took part alongside President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and protocol members in the family photo taken following the program. Pamukkale University (PAU) also took its place at TEKNOFEST, one of the largest gatherings of the National Technology Initiative, with its young people, academics, and projects.
Strong Emphasis on PAU’s Cooperation with the National Technology Initiative
As Pamukkale University, we continue to contribute to the future of the National Technology Initiative through strong collaborations that transform knowledge into technology and technology into value. During the Şanlıurfa gathering of TEKNOFEST Southeastern, Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör met with Selçuk Bayraktar, Chairman of the TEKNOFEST Board. During the meeting, discussions were held on the efforts carried out in line with Türkiye’s vision for domestic and national technology, the role of young people in technology production, and the contributions of universities to the National Technology Initiative. Pamukkale University’s work in technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship was also discussed.
Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör emphasized that institutional support for PAU’s technology teams and young entrepreneurs would continue with determination, stating that they would continue to provide every kind of support to help our students turn their dreams into projects and their projects into Türkiye’s technological future. On the third day of TEKNOFEST Southeastern, Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör visited the T3 Foundation stands and closely examined the important work being carried out within the technology ecosystem. During his visits to the Küre, T3 AI, Kayra, and T3 Gemstone offices, Rector Güngör received information about the ongoing work and held consultations on potential collaborations, joint projects, and new technology-focused initiatives between Pamukkale University and the relevant organizations. Joint steps to strengthen the university–industry–technology ecosystem, enable young people to contribute more to high-quality technology production, and enhance Türkiye’s technological capacity were also discussed.
YÖK President Özvar Visited University Stands
President of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar visited the university stands with his delegation as part of TEKNOFEST Southeastern. Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör also accompanied the visit.
Meaningful Visit to the PAU Stand
As part of TEKNOFEST Southeastern, our Pamukkale University institutional stand welcomed distinguished guests. Prof. Dr. Sevgi Kurtulmuş, wife of Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye Prof. Dr. Numan Kurtulmuş; Fatma Nur Şıldak, wife of Şanlıurfa Governor Hasan Şıldak; and Hasan Topaloğlu, President of the Sedef Foundation, visited Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör at the PAU stand. During the visit, the guests and university representatives exchanged views on Pamukkale University’s work in science, technology, education, and innovation.
Rector Güngör Met with Minister Kacır at TEKNOFEST
Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör met with Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır at TEKNOFEST Southeastern, where technology and youth enthusiasm came together. During the meeting held at the festival grounds, Rector Güngör and Minister Kacır had a conversation and shared the excitement of TEKNOFEST.
The Power of Domestic and National Technology at TEKNOFEST Southeastern
Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör visited the stand of TEI, one of Türkiye’s leading organizations in aviation and space technologies. During the visit, Rector Prof. Dr. Güngör met with TEI General Manager Prof. Dr. Mahmut Akşit and Brigadier General Alper Gezeravcı, Türkiye’s first Turkish astronaut and Commander of Merzifon 5th Main Jet Base.
The meeting included discussions on domestic and national aviation engine technologies developed by TEI, Türkiye’s space vision and space technologies, our country’s goals in the field of high technology, and opportunities for cooperation between universities and technology organizations.
Strong Gathering of Universities at TEKNOFEST Southeastern
As part of TEKNOFEST Southeastern, Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör visited universities that had stands at the festival grounds and closely examined the technology ecosystems of different universities. Meeting with university rectors, institutional representatives, and students, Rector Güngör received information about domestic and national technology-focused projects, innovative applications, and the work developed by young people. During the visits, information was also shared about Pamukkale University’s work in technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship, while opportunities to increase the exchange of knowledge and experience among universities and to develop joint projects and new collaborations were discussed.
Strong Support from Rector Güngör for PAU Teams
On the third day of TEKNOFEST Southeastern, Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör met with PAU teams that successfully represented our university and our province. Rector Güngör visited our PAU Atay team, which ranked third in Türkiye in the Electromobile Vehicle Competitions, and congratulated the team on its achievement.
Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör also met with our Miryo-Mekanik and Parosis teams, which reached the finals in the Robolig Competitions, and our Kutay team, which reached the finals in the Mining Technologies Competitions, wishing our young people success in the final stage.
Engineering and Championship Pride Came Together at the PAU Stand
Dilek Yüksel Kahveci, President of the Denizli Branch of the Turkish White Crescent Association, and her delegation, together with Serhat Duras, a graduate of our University, Founding Team Captain of the Hazar Team and Senior Expert Engineer at Roketsan, visited the PAU stand and met with Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör. The Teknobil College ŞaltArge Team, which won first place in Türkiye at the high school level in the Electrical Installation and Panel Assembly category of the TEKNOFEST 2026 Vocational Skills Competition, also visited PAU Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör and shared the pride of their championship.
