Practical First Aid Training for Rectorate Staff by the First and Emergency Aid Program
The First and Emergency Aid Program of Pamukkale University (PAU) Denizli Vocational School of Health Services (DSHVS) provided Rectorate staff with training in Basic Life Support, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Use, and First Aid for Airway Obstructions on Monday, September 28.
The training was conducted in two groups, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon, by Lecturer Dr. Mehmet Halil Öztürk, Head of the First and Emergency Aid Program, and Lecturer Şeyme Batmaz.
Following the theoretical training, second-year students of the First and Emergency Aid Program also took an active role in the practical sessions. The students provided participants with hands-on training in basic life support, AED use, and first aid procedures for airway obstructions, making an important contribution to the training. Bringing together academic knowledge, professional experience, and student practice, the training was completed in an interactive, productive, and engaging atmosphere with strong participation from the attendees. Conducted under the coordination of Lecturer Dr. Mehmet Halil Öztürk and Lecturer Şeyme Batmaz, with the active participation of students from the First and Emergency Aid Program, the training once again demonstrated the program’s strong expertise in practical education and teamwork.
