PAU's 6 Public Investments Inaugurated by President Erdoğan
With the visit of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to Denizli, 232 facilities were inaugurated. Among the inaugurated facilities, Karahayit Physical Therapy Hospital, Faculty of Medicine Central Classroom Building, Faculty of Education Painting and Art Workshop Building, Kindergarten Building, Şemseddin Terzioğlu Earthquake Laboratory and Faculty of Dentistry Annexe were opened within Pamukkale University (PAU).
Within the scope of his visit to Denizli, a mass opening program was held at 29 October Boulevard Özay Gönlüm Square, to which citizens were invited, followed by the Women's Meeting program.
Center of Health Tourism: PAU Karahayit Physical Therapy Hospital
The service buildings of PAU Karahayıt Physical Therapy Hospital, which consists of a total of 4 service buildings and a parking block, have a total closed area of 19 thousand 58 square meters, and the indoor parking area is 100 square meters of parking area with a total closed area of 4 thousand 268 square meters. Spaces within the building; administrative units, GETAT (Acupuncture, ozone, mesotherapy, prolotherapy, cupping, cosmetology treatment units), conference hall for 200 people, cafeteria and dining hall to serve staff, patients and their relatives, chief physician's office, hospital management units, faculty members' rooms, prayer room, administrative block consisting of technical areas are located on 3 floors on a total area of 3 thousand 818 square meters. In the polyclinic block with a total building area of 4 thousand 820 square meters, consisting of 3 floors and including treatment spaces that can be used by outpatients, there are three outpatient clinics, bone densitometry, MRI room, computed tomography, blood collection, dressing and undressing, toilet and shower units, doctor's rooms, physiotherapist rooms, waiting areas, technical departments, pharmacy, electrotherapy unit, etc. treatment units, exercise room, robotic rehabilitation unit (2 units), orthopedic rehabilitation unit, hydrotherapy unit, balance rehabilitation unit, neurological rehabilitation unit, pediatric rehabilitation unit, and occupational rooms. There is also a grade 2 emergency unit in the polyclinic block. In the pool block building, which is a single-storey building using domed forms inspired by the old Turkish bath culture and planned to be completely under the ground, with a total closed area of 1900 square meters; 1 general pool (175 m2), 4 disabled (lift) treatment pools (60 m2) for men and women, 1 general spa pool (95 m2), 6 private pools (40 m2) for men and women, and an outdoor thermal pool (215 m2). In the clinic block building with a total building area of 8 thousand 520 square meters consisting of four floors; patient bedrooms (82 units), disabled patient bedrooms (6 units), treatment rooms with pool (8 units), inpatient treatment additional spaces, work areas, social areas, shelter, food preparation, mechanical centers, laundry.
PAU Faculty of Medicine Central Classroom Building has 3 lecture halls of 320 square meters and 216 seats, 2 classrooms of 278 square meters, 54 PBL rooms, 2 Occupational Skills laboratories of 139 square meters, 2 classrooms of 70 square meters, 2 classrooms of 80 square meters, 1 classroom of 100 square meters, 1 library of 750 square meters.
Faculty of Education Painting and Drawing Workshop Building and Kindergarten Building
PAU Faculty of Education Painting and Drawing Workshop Building has 5 floors and has a total area of 5 thousand 108 square meters with 15 private classrooms, 3 classrooms, exhibition room, 16 academic staff offices, 1 administrative office, 3 conference rooms, 1 meeting room, 1 course laboratory. The kindergarten building consists of 8 classrooms, 1 dining hall, winter garden, kitchen, assistant director's room, teachers' room, registration room, 2 staff rooms, multi-purpose show area, multi-purpose hall, parent interview room, workshop, director's room, guidance room, application research center room on a total area of 2 thousand 365 square meters.
Faculty of Dentistry Additional Service Building
In the additional service building, which was opened on a total area of 3,562 square meters using horizontal architecture, the Faculty of Dentistry's Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, Department of Endodontics, Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Department of Periodontology, Department of Restorative Dental Treatment will serve an additional 21,942 patients annually. By adding 42 units to the existing units, 42 more patients will be served at the same time.
Şemseddin Terzioğlu Earthquake Laboratory
The single-storey "Şemseddin Terzioğlu Earthquake Science and Engineering Laboratory", which will consist of a laboratory, a study office and a library in a total closed area of 3,476 square meters, also includes an earthquake shaking device donated by Prof. Dr. Ömer Aydan, retired faculty member of Ryukyus University of Japan and Honorary Professor of PAU.
