The event, held on Saturday, October 18 at Sabancı University Tuzla Campus, featured PAU academic Bayraktaroğlu, who works on creativity and nature and completed her doctorate in this field. Her study titled “Creativity in the ‘Nature’ of the Teacher”, developed under the supervision of PAU Faculty of Education faculty member Prof. Dr. Nilgün Cevher Kalburan, was selected as a “Good Practice in Education.” Dr. Bayraktaroğlu presented this study to conference participants both orally and as a poster presentation. In her well-received presentation, she also shared details of the “Nature-Based Professional Development Program” designed for preschool teachers. Bayraktaroğlu stated that the program aims to increase teachers’ sensitivity to creativity and included practical exercises for participants, actively involving the audience, and received applause at the end of her presentation.

Bayraktaroğlu also attended the other thirteen sessions and outdoor workshops held during the conference. She noted that the conference was very productive and concluded that teachers experienced both personal and professional development and that interaction with nature supports creativity skills.
