PAU Academician Serves as International Judge at the 53rd Artistic Gymnastics World Championships
Pamukkale University (PAU) Faculty of Sport Sciences (FSSc) faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yeliz İlgar Doğan is representing both Türkiye and Pamukkale University with distinction as an international judge at the 53rd Artistic Gymnastics World Championships, held from October 19–25 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The World Championships, the second-largest sporting event after the
Olympics for the 2025–2028 Olympic cycle, features Türkiye’s national team with
Yeliz İlgar Doğan, Sevgi Sarı, Mehmet İnce, and Bayram Haluk Coşkun serving as
judges; Cem Volkan Yavaş, Munise Tuna, İbrahim Bulut, Nuri Tufan as coaches;
and Yılmaz Göktekin as technical director. Female artistic gymnasts Bilge
Tarhan, Nazlı Savranbaşı, Bengisu Yıldız, and Ceren Biner, along with male
artistic gymnasts Ferhat Arıcan, Adem Asil, Mehmet Ayberk Koşak, Mert Efe
Kılıçer, Altan Doğan, and Emirhan Kartın, also competed.
Following the qualifying rounds, national
athlete Adem Asil reached the finals on the Rings apparatus and will compete in
the apparatus finals on October 24. We wish success to Adem Asil, Assoc. Prof.
Dr. Yeliz İlgar Doğan as international judge for the Women’s Artistic
Gymnastics Individual All-Around finals on the Vault, and to the entire
national team at the World Championships.
