Since its inception in 2002, this event has become an important platform that brings scientific developments in economics, finance, statistics, and econometrics to the whole of Türkiye. These seminars have not only strengthened academic knowledge but also established an interdisciplinary network, creating new research and cooperation opportunities, reaching today’s level. It can now be confidently said that the Economics Summer Seminars are no longer just an academic event but have become a brand recognized nationally and internationally under the name of Pamukkale University. These seminars bring together academic researchers from all over Türkiye and academicians working in various countries around the world, demonstrating our university’s determination to lead in science and disseminate knowledge. With their stable structure and academic quality, the seminars have also become a symbol that makes the respected identity of Pamukkale University visible in the scientific community. The seminars also serve as a cultural ambassador; every year, scientists from various countries and universities in Türkiye not only get to access the most up-to-date academic information but also have the opportunity to recognize the historical and cultural significance of our city Denizli. From the Pamukkale Travertines and Hierapolis Ancient City to the textile industry and gastronomy, our city, known in many ways, gains international visibility through the Economics Summer Seminars. This year, for the first time, two panels have been added to the program, one of which is titled ‘Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.’ This panel will discuss both the historical process and the transformative power of technology in the economy. I wish our event to be beneficial for our university, city, region, and country.”
