Meaningful Visit from DSHMYO Students to Alcı Primary and Secondary School
As part of the Volunteering Studies course conducted by Pamukkale University (PAU) Denizli Vocational School of Health Services, students visited Acıpayam Alcı Primary and Secondary School and carried out enjoyable and educational activities with children.
Within the scope of the Volunteering Studies course carried out by Pamukkale University (PAU) Denizli Vocational School of Health Services (DSHMYO), students visited Acıpayam Alcı Primary and Secondary School and organized enjoyable and educational activities for children. As part of the project organized under the guidance of Assistant Professor Selma Vuruşaner and Lecturer Dilek Uludağ Kodal, students enrolled in the Volunteering Studies course, together with members of the “Shaping the Future: Children and Youth Club,” came together with school students. During the visit, various activities were held for children, including face painting, balloon popping, fun games, as well as volleyball and football tournaments. The events, which featured colorful scenes, enabled young students to both have fun with university students and participate in activities that strengthened teamwork and a sense of sharing. A warm and sincere interaction was observed among the participating students.
Alcı Secondary School Principal Halil Akan thanked the DSHMYO team for the visit, emphasizing that such engagements are of great importance for children’s development and school culture. This activity carried out within the scope of the Volunteering Studies course contributed to strengthening university students’ sense of social responsibility while also enabling school students to spend a day filled with social and physical activities.
