At the conference on the 112 Emergency Call Center, Murat Varagir, Provincial Director, and Ayşe Gül Karaöz, Quality Office Staff Member, from the Denizli 112 Emergency Call Center Directorate participated as speakers and provided information about the operation of 112 Emergency Call Centers and employment opportunities at the institution. Information was provided on why a single number was introduced for emergency calls, how calls received by 112 are answered, and how the process works. Important reminders were also shared to raise awareness about how and when we should call 112 in an emergency and what information we should provide and how we should communicate it after making the call. The situations in which 112 should be called were explained through different case examples. Important points were shared about how we should communicate when calling 112. New developments concerning the 112 Emergency Call Center’s mobile application, the E-Call application, and Accessible 112 were also shared. The importance of not unnecessarily keeping the 112 line busy was addressed through examples. The importance of every citizen writing their address accurately and completely and placing it somewhere visible at home was emphasized.

The conference also covered topics such as the historical development of 112 emergency call centers, organizational structure, annual call volumes, and the responsibilities and qualifications required of call-handling personnel. At the end of the conference, Associate Professor Dr. Hüsnü Ergün, Deputy Director of Acıpayam MYO, presented certificates of appreciation to the speakers. The Denizli 112 Emergency Call Center Directorate, which participated in the conference with a five-person team, also gave various gifts to the students. The event concluded with the team from the Denizli Provincial Directorate of the 112 Emergency Call Center taking a commemorative photo with academics and students.
