Tourism Sector and Its Future Discussed at the Faculty of Tourism

Within the scope of the 100th Anniversary of the Republic of Turkey events, Cemal Yıldız, General Manager of Pegasos Royal Hotel Alanya, Abdurrahman Aydın, Rooms Department Coordinator of TUI Hotels & Resorts, Emine Akar, Housekeeper Coordinator of TUI Hotels & Resorts, and Abdurrahman Aydın, General Manager of Pegasos Royal Hotel Alanya from TUI Hotels & Resorts group, held an interview with the students on "Tourism Sector and its Future" within the scope of the "Communication in Tourism" course in order for students to communicate with expert managers in the tourism sector and to learn about hotel management.
The interview held at the Laodicea Conference Hall of the Faculty of Tourism started with a moment of silence and the National Anthem. Vice Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and the instructor of the Communication in Tourism course, Dr. Lecturer. Prof. Dr. Serap Alkaya mentioned the Great Place To Work platform in her opening speech on happiness at work and congratulated TUI Hotels & Resorts Turkey for being awarded the title of 'Turkey's Best Employer' by ranking 9th in the category of the number of employees of one thousand and above in the list of Turkey's Best Employers 2023 announced by them.
In the continuation of the program, Pegasos Royal Hotel Alanya General Manager Cemal Yıldız introduced himself and asked his teammates to briefly introduce themselves and briefly share their career stories. While emphasizing the importance of foreign language for the sector, the officials emphasized the importance of asking questions, being curious and having a challenging attitude against difficulties. They mentioned the existence of an application in their organization where employees can submit their complaints about the organization and management, just as they take into account the complaints of customers. The interview, which continued with answers to the questions the students were curious about and entertaining tutorial videos, ended after the presentation of thank you plaques to the guests and a photo shoot.
