Turkish Summer School Begins at PAU

As part of the Turkish Summer School organized in cooperation between Pamukkale University and the Yunus Emre Institute, 13 students from 11 different countries will receive Turkish language education at the Pamukkale University Language Teaching Application and Research Center (PADAM).

Pamukkale University is among the host institutions for the 2025 Turkish/Turkology and Thematic Summer Schools organized by the Yunus Emre Institute in cooperation with 29 universities across 23 cities between July 7 and 31.

 

As part of the summer school program at PAU, the participating students met with the Rector of Pamukkale University, Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör. The meeting was also attended by Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Ersan Öz and Prof. Dr. İbrahim Türkçüer, Secretary General Fatih Işık, Director of PADAM Prof. Dr. Feyza Tokat, Deputy Directors of PADAM Assoc. Prof. Dr. M. Emre Çelik and Lecturer Hafize Tahra, as well as Yunus Emre Institute representative Ezgi Sönmez.

 

During the warm and friendly gathering, Rector Güngör spoke with each student individually and stated that the university administration is always ready to offer their support. The students, who came to Pamukkale University from various countries, thanked Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör for the hospitality shown.

 

Within the scope of the program, students will receive 60 hours of A2-level Turkish language education at PADAM. They will also participate in a variety of cultural, artistic, and social activities, and have the opportunity to explore the historical and natural attractions of the city.
