Pamukkale University (PAU) Denizli Vocational School of Health Services (DSHMYO) Students were hosted by Psychologist Şebnem Dal Üzülmez and a conference on 'Moment Awareness and Future Anxiety' was organized.

With the participation of Denizli Vocational School of Health Services staff and students, the conference on "Moment Awareness and Future Anxiety" was held by Psychologist Şebnem Dal Üzülmez at Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Yılmaz Congress and Culture Center.

The Head of Psychology Department and students from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences also participated in the event. Psychologist Üzülmez gave the following information on the subject: "By constantly thinking about the negative events experienced in the past and the anxieties about it, the person can stay away from living in the moment. Living in the moment means being aware of every moment you are in, increasing its value and seizing opportunities. This understanding encourages avoiding unnecessary postponements in life. You need to make the most of every opportunity you have. Living in the moment means focusing on what is possible and what you can enjoy in the present. If you have the health and energy to start the project you are aiming for, this is an opportunity. Staying in the moment can sometimes be misinterpreted as living in the moment, caring about the past and the future, or living only for pleasure. It is not about not having any goals. On the contrary, it can encourage you to take action, to start challenging yourself today, right now. You don't have to wait for tomorrow to start unlocking your full potential. The moment you take action, you start to see all the possibilities." In her speech, Psychologist Şebnem Dal Üzülmez also mentioned some methods to stay in the moment and get rid of future anxiety; "while living life; start with small steps, use your senses, turn eating into meditation, take advantage of the power of talking to yourself".

At the end of the event, Denizli Vocational School of Health Services staff and students had the opportunity to share their questions and experiences in an interactive environment during the conference. Guest speaker Psychologist Şebnem Dal Üzülmez was presented a certificate of appreciation and a gift by DSHMYO Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pınar İli for her contribution and participation in the program.
