30 Years 30 Theme Events at PAU Start with a Magnificent Opening Ceremony
The opening ceremony of the 30 Years 30 Theme Events, organized on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Pamukkale University (PAU), was held with the participation of President of the Higher Education Council (YÖK) Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar and Denizli Protocol.
Before the opening ceremony of the events, with the participation of YÖK President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan and the Deans, 30 hot air balloon flights were carried out specially organized for the 30th anniversary of Pamukkale University. After the balloon flight, which was highlighted by the posters celebrating the 30th anniversary of Pamukkale University, a trip to the Ancient City of Laodikeia was made, whose excavation and restoration works were carried out by Pamukkale University. After the trip, the opening ceremony was held at Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Yılmaz Congress Culture Center and they visited the stands of the PAU Teams, which won degrees in the TECHNOFEST competitions.
In the continuation of the program, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan, thanked Prof.Dr. Erol Özvar and presented a gift on behalf of Pamukkale University; for approving the opening of Agriculture, Applied Sciences, Physiotherapy, Science and Humanities and Social Sciences Faculties, Fashion Design Department and Knifemaking, Shoemaking, Glassmaking programs, also for being closely interested in the educational goals of PAU and encouraging university-city meetings.
After the ceremony, awards were presented to the academic staff who received TÜBA and TÜBİTAK awards, to the academic staff who contributed to the society with their social projects, and to the teams that were ranked in the TECHNOFEST 2022 competitions.
On the first day of Pamukkale University 30 Years 30 Theme Events, shows by PAU Aviation Group and PAU Motorcycle Club held at Pamukkale University Martyrs Square, visits to the Metropolitan Municipality and Governor's Office, gastronomy competition held at PAU Guesthouse, Menderes Tekstil factory tour were completed with the Narrated Folk Music Concert titled “Denizli's Turkish Folk Music Masters from Local to Universal” held at Hasan Kasapoğlu Cultural Center.
On the second day of the events; Rectorate office visit, PAU Senate meeting (Senate Hall), PAU Student Societies and TECHNOFEST PAU Teams visit, student meeting event, PAU program with videos (Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Yılmaz Congress and Culture Center) were completed.
Pamukkale University 30 Years 30 Theme Events, which will last between September 26-30, will be crowned with various programs for five days.
