“On behalf of Pamukkale University Science Communication Coordination Office, I would like to welcome you all and extend my respects to you at our event, ‘Where Is Your Place in the World of the Future? PAU Is Waiting for You!’, which we have organized within the framework of the ‘Professions of the Future’ theme determined by the Council of Higher Education. Throughout the day, you can visit the stands of our faculties and vocational schools and meet one-on-one with our academics, graduates, and sector representatives to find answers to all your questions about departments and employment opportunities. We have gathered here today to raise awareness of the professions of the future, shed light on the career journeys of our young people, and contribute to their making informed and conscious decisions during the university preference process. Our department introduction videos, prepared to guide prospective students during the preference period, are available on Pamukkale University’s official YouTube account and on the prospective student webpage under the ‘Professions of the Future at PAU!’ section. I would like to thank our esteemed Rector, our Vice Rectors, all our academics, sector representatives, graduates, and distinguished guests who have honored us with their participation in this meaningful event. I hope that our program will be productive, inspiring, and forward-looking for all of us.”
Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ersan Öz said in his speech:
“During the YKS preference process, we organized such a program under the coordination of the Council of Higher Education, upon the instructions of our esteemed Rector. On this occasion, we wanted to introduce all our departments, particularly our prominent programs, and provide you with detailed information about them. We sincerely thank each and every one of you for coming. We sincerely and wholeheartedly hope that you will choose Pamukkale University. My respects.”
Rector Güngör: “The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering within our Faculty of Engineering will admit students for the first time”
Rector of Pamukkale University Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör stated in his speech:
“Today, we have gathered here with you to discuss perhaps the most important stage of the university preference process. Being successful in the examination is, of course, very important. However, being able to make the right choice is another matter that is at least as important as success in the examination. During this process, it is of great importance for our teachers, guidance counselors, and parents to consider students’ abilities, areas of interest, and aspirations while guiding them.
I would like to briefly explain why you should choose Pamukkale University. Although our university may appear to be a young university, having been established in 1992, many of the faculties within it have a history spanning more than fifty years. In particular, our Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Education have a well-established academic tradition. Today, our university is one of the respected higher education institutions in our country, with its national and international achievements, accredited educational programs, and strong academic staff.
This year, I would also like to share a very important innovation at our university with you. The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering within our Faculty of Engineering will admit students for the first time. While preparing the curriculum of our department, artificial intelligence programs at leading universities around the world were examined, and a strong educational program suited to the needs of the future was developed.
Of course, it is not only this department; all our faculties, from engineering to architecture, education to health sciences, tourism to theology, provide our students with a quality education through their strong academic staff and practical opportunities.
Pamukkale University also stands out with its strong research infrastructure. Our university has research centers, modern laboratories, advanced technological equipment, and industry collaborations. Our students have the opportunity to take part in scientific research even during their education. Thanks to our strong academic staff, our scientific research, projects, and academic studies continue to increase day by day.
In addition, our University offers students a rich campus life not only through its academic achievements but also through its social and sports facilities. In short, our doors and our hearts are wide open to all young people who choose Pamukkale University. We have prepared our campus, laboratories, library, and all our facilities for you. We invite you to become part of the great Pamukkale University family.”
Following the opening program, the departments were introduced at the stands set up in the foyer area, where the questions of prospective students were also answered.
