Tourism Students Organized a Technical Trip to Antalya
Students of the Faculty of Tourism at Pamukkale University (PAU) organized a technical trip to Antalya within the scope of the Travel Agency and Tour Operator course, conducted by Asst. Prof. Serap Alkaya.
Aimed at enabling students to gain sectoral experience, apply their theoretical knowledge in practice, and develop professional perspectives, the trip included a visit to the Antalya central office of Corendon Touristic, one of the leading tour operators in the Dutch market. During the visit, students were provided with detailed information on airline transportation, tour operations, marketing strategies, and destination management.
Corendon representatives delivered comprehensive presentations to students on post-pandemic travel trends, digital transformation processes, and sustainable tourism practices. Following the presentations, students asked questions about topics they were curious about, creating an engaging discussion environment.
After the visit, students attended a lunch organized by Corendon, providing an opportunity to meet and interact with industry professionals.
Antalya, one of the world’s leading tourism destinations, stands out as an exemplary city in the development of mass tourism. During free-time activities in the city, students visited major tourist sites such as Kaleiçi, Yivli Minaret, Hadrian’s Gate, and the Marina, making on-site observations and interacting with tourists from different countries.
