Dr. Eren Zenci, a research assistant in the Department of Thoracic Surgery at Pamukkale University Faculty of Medicine, presented his specialty thesis, prepared under the supervision of Assistant Professor Argün Kış, at the 12th ERAS World Congress, held in Singapore between May 14 and 16, 2026.

The thesis study, which examined the effects of preoperative BPAP application on postoperative respiratory complications in patients scheduled for anatomical lung resection, attracted academic interest at the congress.

At the congress, which brought together scientists from different centers around the world, Dr. Zenci participated as the only researcher from Türkiye in the field of thoracic surgery. He also represented Pamukkale University on the international stage as one of the limited number of thoracic surgery representatives attending the congress.
