In the mentorship program, where experienced individuals from the public sector, private sector, academia, and non-governmental organizations meet with students to share their professional experiences, the aim was for students to gain insights into working life, develop perspectives, establish career connections, and shape their career paths.

The İİBF Mentorship Program, which is in its fourth year and continues at full pace, brought Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör together with students of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, where he shared information and experience about the steps of an academic career.

Rector Güngör: “One of the fundamental conditions of being successful is that a person should wish for others what they wish for themselves.”

Speaking about the difficulties encountered in working life and how to overcome them through examples from his own life, Rector Güngör shared his experiences with mentorship program students regarding what should be done on the path to success. Emphasizing that one of the fundamental conditions of being successful is “wishing for others what one wishes for oneself,” Rector Güngör sincerely answered students’ questions about their careers and offered advice on their academic career journeys.
