The opening program of the event was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör, Denizli Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Âdem Özel, Labada Gurme Representative Güray Tuncer, and 58 companies from the tourism sector, including brands such as Hilton Dalaman, Titanic, and Ramada.

Speaking at the opening of the career days fair, which started with protocol speeches, Faculty of Tourism Dean Prof. Dr. Serkan Bertan stated that the career days he encountered at the vocational high school where he was a student in 1990 was a turning point in his life and that he continued this milestone in every institution he has worked in. Noting that 58 sector stakeholders applied to participate in the 8th Career Day held with the participation of Türkiye’s leading tourism stakeholders, Dean Bertan stated that Pamukkale University supports its students in making a strong start in their professional lives through career events, and that this event, which aims to provide valuable information and opportunities that can shape students’ careers, will also offer the opportunity to follow developments in the sector.

In his speech, Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör stated that Pamukkale University was established at the very center of tourism and that, in this respect, students have a fortunate faculty. Expressing his excitement as this was the first tourism faculty career days event he attended at PAU, Rector Güngör stated that the participation of 58 tourism companies from all over Türkiye is a great opportunity for both students and the university. Congratulating all participants, Güngör concluded his speech by expressing his thanks for their support.

At the event, a certificate of appreciation was presented by Rector Güngör to Labada Gurme Representative Güray Tuncer for supporting the Faculty of Tourism. Following the group photo, Rector Güngör, Denizli Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Âdem Özel, and Faculty of Tourism Dean Prof. Dr. Serkan Bertan visited the stands one by one and presented certificates of appreciation to company representatives. The event continued with job interviews between students and participating companies.
