PAU’s Internationalization Journey Continues in South Africa
In line with Pamukkale University’s (PAU) internationalization goals, another significant step has been taken. Thanks to the vision and strong support of Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör, PAU continues to expand its global collaborations.
In this context, Vice Rector responsible for international relations Prof. Dr. Ersan Öz and International Relations Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Onur Kulaç participated in the International Week Meeting hosted by Durban University of Technology in South Africa. The first contact with representatives of Durban University of Technology had taken place last month at the Summit organized in Istanbul in cooperation with the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and Times Higher Education. Following these meetings, PAU was invited to the International Week.
During the meeting, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ersan Öz delivered a presentation introducing Pamukkale University to the participating universities. Afterwards, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Onur Kulaç gave a speech titled “Holistic Internationalization Approach,” one of the cornerstones of PAU’s internationalization vision, and shared the university’s strategic goals.
Throughout the event, bilateral cooperation and Erasmus+ KA171 agreement negotiations were held with many universities from Africa and South America. As a result of these meetings, new Erasmus+ KA171 agreements covering various academic departments were prepared. Through its strong collaborations with universities around the world and its active diplomacy, Pamukkale University continues to increase its global visibility and provide more international opportunities for its students and staff.
