PAU Makes Its Mark at TEKNOFEST Turkish Patent ISIF’25 with 5 Medals
Pamukkale University – Pamukkale Technopolis participated in the Turkish Patent ISIF’25, the 10th Istanbul International Invention Fair held within the scope of TEKNOFEST 2025, with 5 inventions and returned from the event with 5 awards.
The ISIF’25 International Invention Competition, which hosted a total of 470 inventions from 72 institutional participants from 23 countries, saw Pamukkale University / Pamukkale Technopolis TTO Inc. participating with 5 inventions; the team won 1 gold medal, 2 silver medals, and 2 bronze medals, bringing pride to PAÜ.
Gold Medal-Winning Invention: “Piezoelectric-Based Microfluidic Chip System for Mastitis Detection in Cow Milk”
The invention titled “Piezoelectric-Based Microfluidic Chip System for Mastitis Detection in Cow Milk,” developed by PAU Faculty of Technology members Prof. Dr. Ahmet Koluman, Buse Melek Olgaç, Mahmed Sari Njjar, Evren Otur, Doğa Tutulmaz, and Aleyna Sure Öztürk, won a gold medal at ISIF’25.
Inventions Bringing 2 Silver Medals to PAU
One of the silver medals was awarded to the invention titled “Design of N./2N. Order Two-Band Bandpass Filter for Sub-6 GHz 5G Applications,” developed by inventors from Pamukkale University, National Defense University, and Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University, including Prof. Dr. Ceyhun Karpuz (PAU), Res. Asst. Dr. Gülfem Balasu Fırat, Prof. Dr. Ali Kürşad Görür (NEVU), and Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Pınar Öztürk Özdemir (MSU).
Another silver medal was awarded to the invention titled “Portable and Foldable Decontamination Cabin,” developed by inventors Prof. Dr. Ahmet Koluman, Ahmet Asmadili, Gülşah Bayrakcı, and Researcher Atakan Konukbay.
Inventions Bringing 2 Bronze Medals to PAU
One of PAU’s bronze medal-winning inventions was developed by Prof. Dr. Kadir Özkaya and Res. Asst. Taner Dizel from Denizli Technical Sciences Vocational School, titled “Armrest Structure with Arm Support Apparatus Assisting Elderly Individuals in Sitting and Standing Movements,” and it received a bronze medal.
Another bronze medal at ISIF’25 for Pamukkale University went to the invention titled “Sensor System Automatically Calculating Cycle Time and Production Count in Garment Sewing Machines,” developed by PAU Quality Management and Data Evaluation Application and Research Center staff member Res. Asst. Mesut Aydınlı.
