PAU Folk Dance Ensemble Represents Türkiye in Skopje
Pamukkale University (PAU) Folk Dance Ensemble, led by Lecturer Ramazan Tegiz, represented Türkiye and PAU at the 2025 Summer Festival held in Skopje between July 15–18, where they participated as invited guests.
The festival, held in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, featured folk dance and music ensembles from Türkiye, Mexico, Paraguay, Albania, Kosovo, and North Macedonia.
Representing Türkiye with 31 dancers from various faculties and vocational schools, the PAU Folk Dance Ensemble presented a 30-minute performance consisting of a regional team showcasing the heavy and lively zeybek dances of the Denizli region, and a medley team performing under the title “Anadolu’da” (In Anatolia). The PAU delegation presented university gifts to the mayor of the host municipality. Following the festival, the ensemble visited Belgrade, Budapest, Bratislava, Prague, Vienna, Sarajevo, Mostar, Kotor, Dubrovnik, and Thessaloniki, departing from Thessaloniki and returning to Türkiye on July 26.
