PAÜ Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of English Language and Literature Awaits First Students for SUNY Dual Degree Program

Pamukkale University (PAÜ) Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of English Language and Literature, has made a pioneering achievement in its field by launching a prestigious dual degree program with the State University of New York (SUNY) Cortland in line with its internationalization vision.

The Department of English Language and Literature at Pamukkale University Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is excited to welcome its first students through this collaboration. Students, who will experience two different cultures and education systems together, will graduate as well-equipped individuals ready for global competition and will have the chance to seize international career opportunities.

The program, conducted with State University of New York (SUNY) Cortland, one of the oldest and largest university systems in the United States, and accepting its first students in the upcoming academic year, offers young people a unique educational and career opportunity across two continents.

Within this exciting collaboration, 20 students who will be admitted to the program through the YKS/Language score type will add a global dimension to their education. While completing the first two years of their education with Pamukkale University’s experienced academic staff, students will spend the last two years at the SUNY Cortland campus in New York. At the end of this four-year international journey, they will have the privilege of holding both a Pamukkale University diploma and a SUNY Cortland diploma, which is directly recognized as equivalent by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).

 

Unique Opportunities Awaiting Students at PAÜ

 

The program not only offers the opportunity for a dual diploma but also opens the door to invaluable experiences in the United States:

 

Guaranteed Scholarship Opportunity: Every student accepted into the program will directly be entitled to receive the “International Student Award” scholarship, worth $7,500 annually, during their education at SUNY Cortland. Additional scholarship opportunities are also available for successful students.

Career and Internship Opportunities: Students will have the chance to intern at important public institutions such as the New York State Assembly and the U.S. Senate.

Legal Work Permit in the U.S.: Students will have the legal right to work on campus during their education, and after graduation, they will have the opportunity to obtain Optional Practical Training (OPT), which provides a period of legal work authorization in the United States.
