PAU Breaks Record in Internationalization: 821 Agreements in 10 Months

Pamukkale University (PAU) continues to strengthen its academic cooperation network in line with its internationalization vision. Within this scope, it has signed 24 new departmental agreements with the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI), one of Canada’s reputable higher education institutions.

With these agreements, Pamukkale University’s total number of international agreements has reached 3,358 across 72 different countries and 347 different universities.

PAU Signed 821 New International Agreements in the Last Ten Months

Pamukkale University, which has gained significant momentum in internationalization over the past ten-month period, has substantially expanded its global academic network with 821 new international agreements signed during this process and continues to expand it.

This new cooperation implemented in North America strengthens Pamukkale University’s global academic visibility and indicates a significant expansion in terms of student and academic staff mobility as well as joint academic activities. These agreements signed with Canada are among the strategic steps strengthening Pamukkale University’s intercontinental academic network.

PAU’s Regional Expansion Focused on Turkic Republics

Turkic Republics hold an important place in Pamukkale University’s internationalization policy. Within the scope of academic collaborations carried out with universities in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and other Turkic Republics, there are a total of 607 agreements. These agreements contribute to the university’s establishment of a strong and sustainable academic interaction network at the regional level.

This approach, which goes beyond regional expansion, has also enabled the internationalization strategy of Pamukkale University to expand on a continental scale.

PAU Expanded Its International Network with 364 Agreements in Africa

This regional expansion centered on the Turkic Republics has been extended on a continental scale with new agreements made with African countries in the last ten-month period. A total of 364 agreements signed with universities in Africa have carried Pamukkale University’s international cooperation network beyond Europe and Asia. These collaborations provide a structure that supports student and staff mobility, particularly within the Erasmus+ KA171 program.

Academic Solidarity with Palestine

Pamukkale University’s academic collaborations with universities in Palestine aim to strengthen the dimension of academic solidarity and responsibility within internationalization. In this scope, student and academic staff mobility as well as joint educational activities are planned, with the goal of developing a sustainable and multi-dimensional academic cooperation framework. At this stage, Pamukkale University has brought its academic cooperation network to a strong and widespread global structure through its existing international agreements.

Pamukkale University aims to further diversify its international partnerships in the coming period, to build a strong and sustainable academic network reaching all continents of the world, and to increase access to international funding sources through these new collaborations.
