The programme began with a moment of silence and the recitation of the Turkish National Anthem. The opening speeches were delivered, respectively, by Sarayköy Vocational School Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Koray Şarkaya, Sarayköy District Governor Dr. İsmail Pendik, and Pamukkale University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim Türkçüer. The speakers expressed their wishes for a successful and beneficial new academic year for students, academics and the country. They also highlighted the role of education in strengthening unity and solidarity and contributing to social peace. Best wishes for success were extended to the new students beginning their higher education journey in Sarayköy.

Following the opening speeches, the Pamukkale University Youth Chamber Orchestra gave a musical performance under the direction of Dr. Lecturer Çağatay Şişman. The pieces performed by the young musicians were warmly received by the audience and added a special touch to the programme.

The main part of the programme featured an inaugural lecture titled “A Terror-Free Türkiye and a Vision for a Shared Future,” delivered by Cahit Özkan, Denizli Member of Parliament for the Justice and Development Party and a member of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye’s National Solidarity, Brotherhood and Democracy Commission. Addressing the social dimensions of the process and the role of young people in shaping a shared future, Özkan delivered a presentation that attracted considerable interest from students.

At the end of the programme, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim Türkçüer, Sarayköy District Governor Dr. İsmail Pendik and Sarayköy Vocational School Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Koray Şarkaya thanked MP Cahit Özkan for his contributions to the inaugural lecture and presented him with a plaque and a gift in commemoration of the day. The ceremony concluded with refreshments, visits to the stands set up for the event, and a group photograph.
