Job-Guaranteed Education from PAÜ: 5500 TL Internship Pay, Scholarships, and Production of 1000 Pairs of Shoes

As part of the protocol signed between PAÜ Acıpayam Vocational School and the Yeşilyuva Shoemakers’ Cooperative, students will receive 5500 TL for their internships, scholarships will be awarded to the top two placed students in the program, 1000 pairs of shoes will be produced, and 20 graduates will be supported with employment opportunities.

A comprehensive cooperation protocol was signed between Pamukkale University (PAÜ) Acıpayam Vocational School (VS) and the Presidency of the Yeşilyuva Shoemakers’ Cooperative, covering students’ participation in practical training, internships, production, and employment processes.

Within the scope of the protocol, it was agreed that students doing internships will receive a monthly payment of 5500 TL, scholarships will be provided to the top two students placed in the program, 1000 pairs of shoes will be produced through a university-industry partnership, and 20 graduates will be employed in accordance with their field of study. In this respect, the protocol aims to support the education-production-employment chain with a holistic approach.

In the first stage of the program, Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör welcomed Yeşilyuva Shoemakers’ Cooperative President Arif Alagöz, Acıpayam VS Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Kurt, and lecturers from the Department of Textile, Clothing, Footwear and Leather, Aslıhan Tugan and Fatma Filiz Yıldırım.

Following the meeting, at the protocol signing ceremony, the agreement—serving as a strong example of university-industry integration—was signed by Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör and Cooperative President Arif Alagöz.

With the protocol, students from the Acıpayam VS Department of Textile, Clothing, Footwear and Leather will actively participate in hands-on training, internship, and production activities at the Yeşilyuva Shoemakers’ Cooperative.
