At the handover ceremony held at the Rectorate Office, former Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan delivered a speech, stating: "My term, which began in January 2021, has officially come to an end as of today. Our esteemed Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör has both field and university experience. We are pleased to hand over this duty to him. We have done our best for Pamukkale University, and from now on, Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör will do his best as well. I would like to take this opportunity to publicly declare that we will always stand by his side. I wish this appointment to be beneficial for our University, for the Higher Education Council (YÖK) community, for our city Denizli, and for our country. Thank you very much.”

 

Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör, in his address, expressed the following: "I would like to sincerely thank Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan, who previously served as Rector, for his valuable services to our University for nearly five years. We have all witnessed his dedicated efforts. I express my gratitude to him in your presence. Together with our team, we promise to embrace this responsibility and raise the flag we have taken over to even greater heights. Just like my predecessor, I am committed to the development of this University. While thanking my predecessor here today, I sincerely hope that he will continue to support us and contribute to the continuation of this service process. We will not marginalize anyone. We will carry on our services by combining our experiences with those of the previous Rectors and by managing the University with collective wisdom. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan, his esteemed deputies, heads of departments, staff, and fellow academics. May we carry this flag even higher and pass it on to the Rector who will succeed us."

 

The ceremony concluded with the exchange of flowers and a commemorative photo session.
