Good News from Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör to Students: “Scholarships for Top 1000, Laptops for Top 10”
The traditional laptop award ceremony, jointly organized by the Faculty of Theology at Pamukkale University (PAÜ) and the Denizli Faculty of Theology Construction and Sustenance Association, was held with enthusiastic participation.

The ceremony was attended by Pamukkale University Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud
Güngör, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim Türkçüer, Rector’s Advisors Assoc. Prof.
Dr. Ali Kurt and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Türkan. Also present were the Dean of
the Faculty of Theology Prof. Dr. Osman Mutluel, Vice Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr.
Fatih Topaloğlu, the President of the Denizli Faculty of Theology Construction
and Sustenance Association Halil Pekdemir, and former member of parliament
Salih Erdoğan.
The program commenced with a recitation from
the Holy Qur'an by Enes Gündoğdu, a third-year student at the Faculty of
Theology. The ceremony continued with opening speeches by Halil Pekdemir, Prof.
Dr. Osman Mutluel, and PAÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör.
During the award ceremony, held at the PAÜ
Faculty of Theology, laptops were presented to the top 10 ranking students. In
his speech, Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör also announced that students who
rank within the top 1000 in the national university entrance exam and select
Pamukkale University as their first choice will be awarded scholarships.
Prof. Dr. Güngör emphasized a major project he
is planning in the field of theology, stating:
“I have a significant project related to theology that I plan to implement in
the near future. Once it materializes, I will gladly share the details with
you. Students who place among the top 1000 in the national university exam and
choose Pamukkale University as their first choice will be granted a scholarship
of 10,000 TL. We thank you for choosing our university. You are valuable
individuals who are expected to serve this nation and this university at an
important level.”
Following the speech, the laptop presentation
ceremony took place. Rector Güngör personally handed laptops to students who
ranked among the top ten in admission to Pamukkale University’s Faculty of
Theology. Among them were Ekrem Buğra Genç, who ranked first, and Nursema
Şahin, who ranked sixth.
The event concluded with a group photo session
to commemorate the occasion.
