Free Mole Screening Conducted at PAU Hospitals
A free mole screening was conducted by the Department of Dermatology at Pamukkale University (PAU) Hospitals within the scope of the Euromelanoma Skin Cancer Awareness Campaign.
As part of the screening program organized to raise awareness about the importance of early diagnosis in skin cancers, participants underwent full-body skin examinations and dermoscopic evaluations. While suspicious lesions were examined for early detection, participants were also informed about methods of protection against skin cancer and the importance of regular skin examinations.
Assistant Professor Gökhan Çınar, a faculty member of the Department of Dermatology at PAU Hospitals, stated that early diagnosis significantly increases treatment success in skin cancers and emphasized that regular dermatological examinations should not be neglected. Assistant Professor Çınar also stressed the importance of consulting a dermatology specialist without delay, particularly for individuals who notice changes in the shape, color, or size of their moles.
