Digital Access to Denizli’s Tourism Assets Enabled Through PAU’s Project
The Denizli Tourism Map, prepared by Pamukkale University under the leadership of the Denizli Chamber of Commerce (DTO), presents the city’s touristic assets with a holistic approach and includes QR-coded digital tourism maps.
Prof. Dr. Serkan Bertan, Dean of the PAU Faculty of Tourism, shared the following remarks regarding the project: “The tourism map, which will be distributed to visitors coming to Denizli and at international fairs, will be provided in printed form and will also serve as a comprehensive digital guide. The QR codes on the map allow users to instantly access the digital map by scanning the codes with their smartphones. Within the scope of the Pamukkale University Scientific Research Project, we prepared the Hand-Painted Mosques Map, Denizli Gastronomy Map, City Center Tourism Map, Walking/Bicycle City Tour Map, Intangible Cultural Heritage Map, Hidden Villages Map, Museums Map, Geographically Indicated Products Map, and the Ancient City Maps of Hierapolis, Laodicea, Tripolis, Attouda, as well as tourism maps of all districts.”
