Students aiming for careers in the field of foreign trade in Denizli had the opportunity to meet experienced professionals in the sector in an important talk. During the program, students had the chance to receive firsthand information from the field about customs procedures and security.

 

In the talk, Ömer Yaşar, who spoke first, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the functioning of customs procedures. Yaşar detailed the duties and responsibilities of units within customs and explained with examples how import and export processes are carried out. He also shared important information about job opportunities, internship possibilities, and career advancement paths for students who wish to pursue a career in customs. He emphasized that practical experience is as important as theoretical knowledge.

 

In the second part of the program, Emrah Turan focused on customs security. Turan provided information about modern inspection practices used in customs, technological systems, and risk analysis methods. Drawing attention to the importance of anti-smuggling efforts, Turan shared examples from field incidents and explained the dynamic and demanding aspects of the profession. Students had the opportunity to better understand the challenges and responsibilities of the profession through these real field-based narratives.

In the question-and-answer session, students directly addressed their questions to the experts, engaging in an interactive exchange of information. The talk, which attracted great interest from students, was guiding both academically and professionally.
