Osman Uğurlu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Denizli Exporters Association (DENIB), the umbrella organization of exporters carrying Denizli’s production power to international markets, met with students and shared his experiences.

In his presentation, Chairman Osman Uğurlu provided detailed information about DENIB’s activities, national and international organizations, and the support it provides to exporters. Emphasizing that Denizli makes significant contributions to Türkiye’s exports especially in the textile, cable, copper wire, marble, food, and machinery sectors, Uğurlu also explained the leading sectors in exports with examples.

In the question-and-answer session held after the presentation under the moderation of Lecturer Dr. Mükrime Öksüz Demirgubuz, the event coordinator, students had the opportunity to directly ask the topics they were curious about regarding career planning. Sharing sections from his own career journey, Uğurlu explained the turning points that were influential in reaching his current position. He also provided important tips about internship and job opportunities, government incentives, and the competencies they pay attention to in recruitment processes.

Advising young people especially to gain a global vision, Mr. Osman Uğurlu stated: “You are the ones who will carry Denizli’s production culture into the future. Young people who effectively use new technologies, closely follow the world, know foreign languages, and can think globally will undertake a critical role in the transformation of exports.”

In the program, which attracted great interest and was also attended by teachers and students of the Denizli Organized Industrial Zone Technical College, Denizli’s strength in exports, its place in the Türkiye economy, and its role in global trade were comprehensively discussed. The talk ended with the presentation of a certificate of appreciation to DENIB Chairman Osman Uğurlu by DSBVS Director Prof. Dr. Tülay Metin, while at the end of the event students had the opportunity to communicate one-on-one with sector representatives and gained important information that would guide their career planning.
