“Colorful Touches to Life” Event Held at PAU Hospitals

The “Colorful Touches to Life” event was held at the Radiology Oncology Winter Garden of Pamukkale University Hospitals between April 20–22.

The opening of the event was attended by Chief Physician Hakan Alkan and Chief Administrator Murat Taşer. Within the scope of the three-day event, the first day featured knitting, miyuki, and titanium workshops; the second day continued with punch embroidery, waste evaluation, and wooden toy making activities. On the third day, door and wall painting along with metallic waste design activities were carried out.

“Art turned into hope and solidarity in hospital corridors.”

The event, organized under the leadership of Bahar Baltalarlı from the Department of Radiation Oncology, brought together patients, patient relatives, and healthcare staff.

Among those contributing to the event were retired Lecturer Bahriye Yalçınkaya and handicraft instructors Arzu Ağtaş, Zeliha Tirelioğlu, Leyla Selçuk, and Betül Kalmaz. In addition, metal design specialist Turan Çetin and wood design master Veli Bat set up stands and conducted workshops.

The event highlighted the supportive and healing aspects of art while contributing to the social interaction of participants. Denizli singer Efe Güngör also visited the event and met with participants.

At the end of the program, appreciation certificates were presented to participants who contributed by opening stands.
