“Choose Your Profession” Program at PAU Attracts Great Interest
The “Choose Your Profession” program, traditionally organized by Pamukkale University (PAU) to inform university candidates about professions and faculties, was held with high participation.
The program took place at the PAU Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Yılmaz Congress and Culture Center with the participation of Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör, vice rectors, deans, academics, teachers, and a large number of high school students.
In his opening speech, Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör emphasized that choosing a profession is not merely a career decision but a comprehensive life plan that individuals build for themselves, their families, and their country. He stated that youth is the greatest asset of the nation and that every profession—from medicine to engineering, law to teaching—plays a critical role in social development and justice. He underlined that true success is meaningful only when combined with morality, conscience, compassion, and character, and that young people are expected not only to obtain a good profession but also to become honest, productive individuals with national and spiritual values who serve humanity. He also noted that Pamukkale University remains committed to providing an educational environment where students can combine their potential with strong academic and scientific competence, and added that the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering has been established.
In the panel moderated by Dr. Bilal Göde, faculty deans introduced their faculties and answered students’ questions. The event also included a presentation by Dr. Göde and a promotional video of Pamukkale University, where statistical data about the university was shared along with information on campus life, job opportunities, and academic career paths.
At the end of the event, certificates of appreciation were presented by Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör to Acting Provincial Director of National Education Ragıp Çelik and Dr. Bilal Göde. The program concluded with a group photo. Afterwards, prospective students visited faculty stands in the foyer area and received information from representatives about departments and faculties.
