2nd Dialysis Technicians' Music Festival Held with Great Enthusiasm
The second edition of the “Dialysis Technicians' Music Festival,” organised this year by the Dialysis Programme of Pamukkale University (PAU) Denizli Vocational School of Health Services (DSHVS), was held with the participation of academic and administrative staff and 180 students.
Held on October 21 at the AKİ-44 Lecture Hall, the event brought students together through music, entertainment, and various social activities under the theme “Bringing Our Traditional Rhythm Together with Dance and Music.” The event was attended by Deputy Directors of Denizli Vocational School of Health Services, Lecturer Necla Tarpıcı and Lecturer Ömer Faruk Karaca, as well as academic and administrative staff.
Organised by Lecturer Adile Büşra Özdeş, a member of the Dialysis Programme's academic staff, with contributions from Lecturer Asiye Karçkay and Lecturer Huriye Demirhan and the active participation of students, the event featured a variety of colourful performances and entertaining activities. The programme included a poetry recital, followed by videos featuring interviews with social media influencers. Students then enjoyed playing Taboo and Guess What, demonstrating both their knowledge and communication skills. The games, which attracted considerable interest from students, created an enjoyable and friendly atmosphere in the hall.
The Dialysis Technicians' Music Festival, which is intended to become a traditional event, aims to support students' social and cultural development alongside their academic education and strengthen communication and solidarity among students from different year groups. Held shortly before the examination period, the event also helped students take a brief break from their academic workload, boost their morale and motivation, spend time together, and strengthen their sense of belonging.
In the final part of the event, “Grup Yankı,” consisting of students from the Dialysis Programme, took to the stage and treated participants to an enjoyable musical performance with their songs. The concert added to the excitement of the event, with students singing along together. The event concluded with the presentation of certificates of appreciation to the organising team and members of Grup Yankı in recognition of their contributions.
