25.03.2024

Pamukkale University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan was the guest of Ali Sürücüoğlu in the "Towards Iftar with Denizli Metropolitan Municipality" Program, which met with the audience on DEHA, DRT and World Türk screens with Pamukkale TV joint broadcast.

The program organized at Mufti Ahmet Hulusi Efendi Mosque and Complex started with music. After the music, the conversation started with Ali Sürücüoğlu's speech: "In Ramadan, usually such energies fade, but I look at you, I look at my teammates, they are like glass. When I see those glassy eyes and faces, an energy comes to me from here. Expressing his feelings and thoughts about Ramadan, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan said the following:

Rector Kutluhan: "During Ramadan, every human being starts to think the same with his heart, tongue and brain. All the realms within him/her start to become one realm."

"Because Ramadan is really a great event, the Prophet's prayer of reaching Ramadan starts in the same way with us. As long as he reaches Ramadan, it means that Ramadan is a very important thing. It is such an important thing that two billion Muslims are praying at the same time, their hearts are beating at the same time, that is, their souls are united. As I said before, the inside and outside of a person starts to be the same, they become transparent, they become clean. It is a perfect event. Therefore, I congratulate everyone's Ramadan, and may Allah bring us to Eid, insha'Allah.

Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan: "There is a fashionable diet system 'Intermittent Fasting' (IF). Scientific studies show that harmful metabolites and bad materials that can cause cancer are eliminated from the body of a person who is hungry between 14-16 hours."

Rector Kutluhan continued his speech as follows: "As you know, there is a diet system that is currently in fashion, intermittent fasting (IF). This is a diet made by fasting for 16 hours or 14-16 hours a day. Now something very important emerges here. We think that Ramadan is a feast for the soul. We think so, but our Prophet said this hundreds of years ago and now we are learning it from the West. After 16 hours of fasting, it has now been shown that all the metabolites that can turn the human body into cancer, all that bad material is destroyed and that fasting is a very good prescription for the human body, in other words, for health. Therefore, it has been determined that Ramadan, which is food for the soul, is also food for the body. Now there is something there. And that is this: the fasts of those who follow the IF diet - I say fasting for clarity - are kept a little bit at night. In other words, it stops after 8 pm at night until noon the next day. But ours is the opposite. Our fasting is during the day. So we need to find the difference there. I thought of it on my way here. We need to do this study. I mean, what is the difference in the body between those who fast at night and those who fast during the day? This is a terrifying thing. We will definitely find out that this is different."

Rector Kutluhan: "A hadith says, 'For a Muslim, the world is hell, but there is paradise in the hereafter'"

Referring to the massacres in Gaza and East Turkistan, Rector Kutluhan said "Of course, we entered this Ramadan with a bit of bitterness in our hearts again. The events in Gaza continue. The brutality of Zionism continues. I really don't know. We think that God willing it will be resolved. It is an event that breaks our hearts. Inshallah with Ramadan prayers. There is a hadith that says, 'For a Muslim, the world is hell, but there is paradise in the hereafter.' I had the opportunity to examine that hadith recently. In fact, there is the question of why it would be hell for a Muslim where he stands, it is so interesting. But if you are troubled, if you are troubled by the troubles of Muslims, you are really bitter. If you carry this problem all the time, in fact, the Muslim has to carry this problem until the time of death.

Rector Kutluhan: "I believe that as Pamukkale University, we have leveled up with EGEKAF'24"

He also answered the questions of Ali Sürücüoğlu, the host of the program, about EGEKAF'24. Rector Kutluhan stated that Bilal Erdoğan, President of the Ilim Yayma Foundation, Hulusi Akar, Former Minister of National Defense, Tamer Karadağlı, General Director of Theaters, and other speakers from the private sector, who participated in the fair as special speakers, were very satisfying in terms of transferring knowledge and experience to students. He thanked Ali Sürücüoğlu, who served as a jury member in the Quran competition, one of the many competitions organized at EGEKAF 24, for his contributions.
