Implemented through the dedicated efforts of nurse educators in line with the institution’s mission and vision—aimed at strengthening the prestige of the nursing profession, promoting a human-centered approach in healthcare services, and ensuring excellence in patient care—the Intensive Care Nursing Certificate Program concluded successfully. A total of 16 nurses qualified to receive certificates at the closing ceremony, which was attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim Türkçüer, Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Hakan Alkan, Deputy Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Atakan Yılmaz, Chief Administrator Dr. Murat Taşer, Deputy Directors of Nursing Services Hatice Koçakaya and Ümit Çimen, educators, and trainees.
The closing program began with a moment of silence in memory of the nation’s fallen martyrs and the Founder of the Republic, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, followed by the National Anthem. The program continued with a short introductory video reflecting the knowledge, skills, and experiences gained by intensive care nurses throughout the training period.
Education Nurses Veciye Akyol and Zülbiya Paşa, who played an active role in planning and implementing the program, emphasized the importance of specialization in intensive care nursing in their speeches. They expressed their gratitude to the administrators who supported the implementation of the program, as well as to expert academics and experienced clinical educators who shared their expertise.
Deputy Director of Nursing Services Hatice Koçakaya conveyed the greetings and best wishes of Director Demet Ekici, who was unable to attend the program due to health reasons, and emphasized that certified training programs are closely followed by the administration. Stating that she had previously worked as an intensive care nurse herself, Koçakaya noted that the knowledge and experience gained would make significant contributions to professional development and the quality of patient care, and wished success to all participants.
