Duke University faculty member Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Yıldırım was the guest of Pamukkale University and Pamukkale Technocity. Prof. Dr. Yıldırım gave important advice on Effective Teamwork to the PAU Team Members participating in TECHNOFEST and to the company officials in Pamukkale Technocity.

Prof. Dr. Yıldırım conveyed the following in his presentation: “Today, projects are multifaceted and complex, so teamwork is more important than it used to be. Interdisciplinary work has also increased in R&D and scientific studies. The importance of teamwork is also evident in CVs. Mutual trust is the biggest problem in this study, these problems cause people not to do their part and cause coordination problems. I would like to briefly analyze these problems. In some projects, everyone's job is clear, while in others, everyone works in a common area. Success is shared, but effort is personal. Failure to measure effort is the main problem in teamwork. We can't measure each other's efforts. This shakes our trust in our teammate. Team members can supervise each other. If team members have different abilities, it is important to distribute them to different teams. If the professionals are on the same team, it also reduces the efficiency. If the person escaping from responsibility takes a professional person with him, this creates coordination. He can't say that he can also do what I am doing."
