Colorful Graduation Ceremony from PADAM
PADAM's international students enjoyed graduation by receiving their certificates at the end of their Turkish education. Students coming to PAU from different countries of the world to study at undergraduate or graduate level were presented with their certificates by the Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan. The students added color to the night with their local clothes, folk dances and Turkish poems they read.
The program started with a moment of silence and the National Anthem, and then continued with Turkish poems and folk dance performances by the students. While the memories of the students during their Turkish learning process made the guests smile, the Zeybek performances were highly appreciated by the audience.
Speaking at the ceremony, PADAM Director Assoc. Dr. Feyza Tokat stated that 78 international students from 37 different countries received Turkish preparatory education at PADAM this year, and that PAU is an internationally recognized and preferred university. Stating that the students took 960 hours of basic Turkish, 60 hours of speaking and 140 hours of academic Turkish, Assoc. Dr. Tokat added that students also learned about Turkish culture, traditions and customs in addition to the lessons. For his support to PADAM and his participation in the ceremony, she thanked Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan and the University administration.
This year, 75 students from PADAM succeeded in the course exam and were awarded the C1 level Turkish certificate.
